Hasten Cleanse is a water-based concentrate for pressure washing rigs, pumping units, trucks, and iron, it breaks the bond between the hydrocarbon and the metal, suspends it in the wash water, and does it without solvent vapor, a flash point, or hazardous runoff.

What Hasten Cleanse does not do

It is not a solvent and not a caustic. It will not dissolve, melt, or strip material that is physically bonded or baked onto a surface, scale, rust, hardened deposits, coatings. It lifts hydrocarbons, oil, grease, crude, sludge, and paraffin, by emulsifying them, and it needs agitation, circulation, pressure, or heat to do that work. If your problem is a stuck-on solid rather than a hydrocarbon film or residue, tell us and we will say so.

A Rig Wash Procedure That Works

Rig wash is a volume job. The crew wants a product that cuts crude and grease at pressure washer dilution, rinses clean, and does not leave them handling a flammable solvent on a lease. This is how Hasten Cleanse is run on rigs, pumping units, and trucks.

Dilution. Start at 1 to 20 in the pressure washer for routine washing, 1 to 10 for heavy crude and grease on the substructure, drawworks, and mud pumps. Full concentrate is never sprayed; it is mixed down.

Hot water helps, cold water works. Hot water speeds the lift on paraffin-heavy crude. Cold water at normal pressure washer rates still cuts it with a longer dwell.

Top down, dwell, then rinse. Wet the equipment from the top, let the solution sit two to five minutes so it bonds to the oil, then rinse from the top down. The oil comes off in the rinse water instead of smearing.

Runoff. The rinse is non-hazardous and non-flammable. On a lease it goes to the containment or the frac tank like any wash water; it does not change the classification of what is already there.

What it will not do. It will not strip paint, lift rust, or dissolve baked-on scale. Those need mechanical work. Hasten Cleanse takes off the oil and grease that covers them.

Rig wash soap versus rig wash degreaser

A rig wash soap is a surfactant that loosens dirt and some oil. A degreaser is built to break and carry heavy hydrocarbon. Most crews run a degreaser at a light dilution for everyday washing and a stronger dilution for the greasy components, which is one drum doing both jobs. Hasten Cleanse is the degreaser; the dilution ratio is what makes it a soap when a soap is all that is needed.
